Its so different from road racing. People told me i did good for my first time (i guess). My best was 56.8. The fast people were 51-54 seconds. Slow were 58-6x.
I had to stop thinking as a road racer. Different lines and plan of attack.
I will be autoXing as much as i road race now.
i'll post pics when i get home.

yeah autoxing is like road racing without the straight a ways. Just a lot of quick turns and slaloms packed into a small space. I would like to try road racing one day.

Congrats on your first Event. You can learn alot about car control Very quickly in autocross, because you have the car on its edge more then with track days.
a couple of guys out here do both track days and autocross, one was telling me that after autocrossing for a while, track days seem almost in slow motion, as you have the straight-a-ways to let you set up for the next turn, where Autocross is one turn on top of another.
Glad you had fun, and keep the shiny side up.
I'll get to a track day eventually, just not with my only car.....

yes, after autoxing and go karting for a while, road racing seems slow
but road racing gives u a great adrenaline rush. and i love the feeling i get
when the guys in faster cars (corvettes, s2000,evo, etc) gives me the wave so i can
pass them on the straights cause i'm just up their ass for a whole lap on the turns
