On camber turn: when the surface of the road is tilted twards the inside of the turn, example: the banked turns at a super speedway.
Off camber turn: when the surface of the road is tilted away fromt the inside of the turn.
the difference betweent the two... On camber turns will allow more grip and thus higher cornering speeds, an Off camber turn will do just the opposite, less grip and lower cornering speeds.
Pointer cone: a cone placed on its side with its top pointing in the direction of the corner.
Apex: the middle of the corner, typically fastest to "apex a corner"... taking the straightest possible line through the corner.
Chicane: a corner/obsticle requiring a quick and small change line sideways, but continuing in the same direction. Can either be 1 move or 2 and may not be even.
Slalom: Back and forth between a line of cones. A double arrow at the start indicates a driver option to take either side of the first cone. Often wise to choose the side that provides the best setup into the corner following the slalom.
No direction option may be indicated by pointer cones or a marked arrow showing the required direction.
Race lines are approximate, I used paint... its does what it wants.
you get an "A" for effort. keep them comin, im lookin into getting into auto-x this summer and could use some good info from the Vets.
so far ive learned 2 things, what a pointer cone is(and how it may be used), and im am not the only one that sucks at using the Paint accessory on my computer

NO DOUBT!!!
Here's a good example of an off camber turn...look at how much the parking lot slopes!!!
YES...I know...I'm WAYYYYY off in the attitude of my car, but to my defense, it was the first run, and I was going into it a little too hot, lol. Oh, well...live and learn!!
Does anyone else do this...I look at the pics from each run of each race, and see what I did right/wrong in every section, and try to learn from that...kinda like watching a vid, only less technical...lol.
Anyway...here's a chop of that same pic, with my second run car as the ghost car (GT3 style). Second run was MUCH better, IMO.
It's just kinda cool to see where you messed up, and where you fixed things.
