New to hondas [kinda] but not to cars..

Hey. I'm liz.
I am buying a Civic hatch, produced in August of 88. So I'm not sure what year that is? I figured 89. Here's a pic of it still at my parents house, where it's sitting. Sorry about the bad quality.

My project car is my 1993 3000gt vr4. If you want me to post pics of that, just let me know.

Now as for the ef, I know hardly anything about hondas, especially this old. It runs and drives pretty well, a lot better than I would have expected. I'm probably going to end up boosting it in about a year, but for the first year, I want to get it running better [if I notice anything wrong with it,] and get it looking the way I want. Anything I should absolutely know about it? Also, is this one of the honda's with the mystery box [vaccum box] that if i mess with it, it'll probably never run right again? Haha. Just sayin.

Not bad. Body appears to be in pretty good shape, which is a good sign.

The body on these things is usually long gone by the time the engine goes.

Re: New to hondas [kinda] but not to cars..

Kinda a funny story. So, i was getting ready to drive it home, pulled out of the drive way. Stomped on the breaks to turn, and.. nothing's there. How wonderful. lol Thankfully the car weights so little, i actually had to use the e brake & my flipflops to stop the car. :/
so tomorrow, we're installing new wheel cylinder & break shoes. Stuff is soo cheap for this car. haha.
