Thanx... I will definately be asking you "what does this do?" and "what does this mean?" or "What does this stand for?" I stumped the guy at the Honda dealership. I asked him out of nowhere "What does Si stand for?" He just laughed but never answered the question.
OMG! My lying fiance told me that he was gonna put an intake in it and when I asked "what is it?" he told me that it was something that was gonna save me a lot of gas... but then again he was smiling too. He said that cuz I told him I didn't want anything unnecessary added to the car. I'm about to kick that punk's ass in a second.
BTW thanx for informing me. It's butt kicking time.
haha whoops!!! jerry springer already.... the intake will only lower gas milage if you "use" it... meaning if you always step on the gas pedal to the floor, which iwas doing... so if you normal drive, you'll be fine... if your like im bored and step on it... its gunna growl... GRRR!!!!!!!!
Damn man, you must've really been offended by my post. Just playing around...
Now back on to topic:
No I don't get offended by any thing on these forums its all fun and games for me and in humor.
The world is too messed up right now to take things to personal.

Si doesn't have a "meaning." Its basically a "trim level." Like DX, LX, EX, Si. They basically represent differences between body styles, power windows, mirrors, sunroof, motors, etc., so there's no real meaning. He probably had no idea though, lol.
As far as an intake goes, with the way most women drive, I doubt you'll notice a difference in fuel consumption. Usually it removes air restrictions into the motor. When you are allowing more air into the motor, the Mass Air Flow Sensor will see a rise in airflow and will increase fuel to compensate. But that's more at full throttle-midrange and in the top end when you're using the powerband anyways.
LMAO, don't sweat it. Basically if you're getting on it all the time, you'll burn alot of gas no matter what. An intake isn't going to hurt the car's fuel economy enough for you to notice.
The whaaa with the whaa and the whaa??? LoL I didn't follow but it sounded lovely.
Trust us when we all tell you this, but an CAI will sound lovely indeed.
I get goos-bumps just thinking what that killer car of yours will sound like with one on.

If you're really interested in learning about engines, check out www.howstuffworks.com
There are a ton of informative articles that break it down into abc's.
As for the intake, I wouldn't waste money on it, too overpriced for not enough gain. But it all depends on you. What do you want out of the car in 6 months, a year? What is your ultimate goal?
CAI=Cold Air Intake
It gives the engine a more "agressive" sound. You can hear the air entering the filter. I like the sound of a spooling turbo and a nice loud bov better hehe. I can't even hear my intake, lol.
They go for roughly 200 for a name brand. Nah, you won't get pulled over, it isn't illegal.
