hey other 7th gen civic owners... i've had my civic since about last july but i just came across this thread recently... i'm glad there's a 7th gen civic forum cuz on forums like honda-tech and hondaswap there's not 2 many 7th gen owners... my civic's completely stock except for tinted windows and OEM spoiler but other than that it's stock... i want to maybe make a few modifications to my car but i don't know where to start... i know everyone starts with intake, header, and exhaust but i'm not really sure how to actually install them once i do get the parts... do they come with step by step instructions or what? if not i'm kinda in trouble... also i plan to do a K20A2 swap sometime in the future would it be a good idea to find someone that could help me do that first and then start off with intake, headers, and exhaust since i wouldn't be able to use those parts after the swap anyway? o yea and i still need to find someone to help me get started too haha along with a job to earn some $$ for parts

hello and welcome.
if you don't have any friends that are mechanically inclined to help you get started, then start getting invlved with the sportcompact scene in your area. go to the drag strip on street night, or go to some of the local street gatherings and MEET PEOPLE and ask questions. some people don't like to talk and are there for racing, so don't be discouraged if you meet a person like that. soon or later you'll find people that love the sport and help other racers. you must surround yourself with the right enviornment.
peace
