Alright so I think ima get ready and just purchase the kit that Gearbox recommends from "yourhid". Only problem is they wont be in projectors which means light is going to shoot everywhere. Now there are two options with this...either the 35wat kit Or the 50wat kit. Im afraid that the 35 wat is not going to be bright enough. What do you think and as well do you thing with the 50wat a 6th gen stock headlight can handle the heat? Here are the links (I think my light is a h4)
I bought the 50W kit from yourhid, and it works great. You want to buy a relay harness so you don't risk frying your stock harness wiring. Also HID doesn't produce more heat then halogen...Common misconception.

yeah it will be bright, i would stick with 35w. if you dont like them you can always fit some projectors in there and reuse the ballasts. all you would need are the d2s bulbs and conversion cable.
i also recommend wire harness upgrade with relay. stock wiring cant handle the extra power.
Alright gearbox ima order the 35 wat now. It states their like 3 times the lumen of a 55wat regular bulb so I hope its what I expect. I tried to search the wiring harness on the forum but the search feature never loaded, is there a diagram anywhere on how to make this new harness?
Well I thought mine was the H4 but when I use the site in the ebay auction it comes up with this:
1997 HONDA Civic (Except hatchback)
High & low beam headlamp
9003/HB2
9003SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision - The Whitest and Brightest Halogen
9003ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen
9003XV XtraVision Halogen - The Brighter Light
9003CB Cool Blue Halogen - The Whiter Light
Easy enough but I still havn't ordered it yet because Im confused on which bulb my car actually uses. Your diagram of the H4 bulb is the same type of connection as my bulb(but then again with your wiring harness it seems it really doesn't matter since I am just running my own wire to the original harness so in theory it doesn't matter which kit I get?)

it does matter, you need the H4 kit if you have 01-03 civic because the bulb needs to fit inside the headlamp housing. all the bulbs have different sizes so get the kit that matches what halogen bulb you use now.
And you have to message him after the sale anyways to let him know the bulb size and what temperature you want the lights. And make sure to give phone number. He ships fast, i got mine in 4 days.

i would not go higher than 6000k if you want bright. brightest is the 4300k, which is pure white. next brightest is 6000k which alot of people like cause its still pretty bright and has some blue tints in it.
Alright...Had to send the guy a message to see if he has anymore 35wat kits because he no longer has an auction up for them. If not I guess Ill have to go with 50wat which im really not wanting to do.

Well I recieved the kit...think there is a problem. I clearly told him H4 and the box is H4 but I think the connector on this is for 9006. Stay posted ima upload pics in a sec.
It might be correct actually the diagrams are a bit confusing in the book.// nvm I think it is correct im just being dumb.
As you can see there are two pins that are blue and black wires, is this correct? The book shows 3 now granted it doesent have a high beam maybe thats why the book does?

lay out the kit so we can see it better. most everything should connect together, except the ballast. usually ballast comes with spade connectors but yours looks like 9006 plug (easily available from auto store) so it might even be easier for you. the ballast and bulb should connect together. and try the bulb in the housing to make sure its the right size.
yeah that looks right. okay i see whats happening. the spade terminals are power and ground for the ballasts. the + wires both get hooked to your new wire harness (relay pin 30), and the grounds goto a chassis mount point like the stock radiator support spot. everything else seems to be direct plug in and is already connected. the power goes to the silver ballast first, then to the black ignitor which boosts the power, then to the bulb to light it up. so all you need to do is make wire harness like in my pic and attach the harness trigger to your stock 12v wire, then attach the ballast power wires to the new harness and ground the ballast (-) wires. the black should be ground.
Done! Took about 3 hours from start to finish including having to make the wiring harness and run all the wires. Really easy, only complaint was I had to take the front bumper off to access the right headlight cause of all the stuff in the way. Expect some night pics later!

do you get any static on the radio while these are on? my OEM Matsushita ballasts don't affect my radio, but my aftermarket ballasts for my fog make my radio have bad static.
