gotcha, so when u say pnp no mods needed, all i have to do is plg the original into the one that goes to the ballast, then plug the ballast with the bulb on it, into the housing thats on ur bumper right?
like i have no exp with pnp kits or anything like that. Like i already have oem fogs, but i was gonna retrofit them with some projector fogs, and then try a hid kit on them like u did.

pretty much. the fog kit will come with some wires and a switch. depending on the wire size in the kit, you may want to upgrade to 16ga wire to power the ballasts. the ballasts can pull close to 10A when starting up! i'd put a 20A fuse on the system. you'll have to run wires and such to power everything just like any other fog system. the only difference is that instead of hooking the power and ground to a regular fog, you'll hook them to the power input of the ballast. the ballast has a connector that plugs into the HID bulb. the bulb just inserts and twists to lock into the fog light. if you don't have any fogs yet and you need to run all the wires, i'd budget about 6 hours to do this, especially if you don't have much experience running all the wires and stuff and removing the bumper. here's some more pics that might help:

that big plastic ring has to be cut off. the small rubber piece is the gasket. don't cut that off.

alrighty, also go figure i took off my fogs today to mess with them and see how i could retrofit them with the dimensions i got hehe. but yeah i already have some fogs, and so u think i would have to updrage my wiring right?
In the 2nd pic, going into the ballast from the top left i would just connect one to my power and the other to my button inside my cabin. alrighty. is there a grounding wire at all tho? seeing as how u said "the only difference is that instead of hooking the power and ground to a regular fog, you'll hook them to the power input of the ballast."

what year do you have? you shouldn't have to retro anything. should just be able to take your OEM fogs off (or whatever you have) and put these in their place. as far as the wire, itdepends on what size it is. mine is currently working with 18ga wire, but when i do my retro and install the harness i made, i'll have 16ga wire for everything. i'm actually a little nervous everytime i fire them up right now on the 18ga since it's right at the limit pulling close to 15-20A. once they're on and stable though, they're only pulling about 6A. i've got a 15A fuse on there and it hasn't blown yet, so theoretically, they haven't pulled more than that. at least not sustained long enough to blow it.

the connector in the top left is the power connector. the ends are the bare metal leads on the bottom right. i cut those off and put some crimp connectors on mine to make connecting and disconnecting easier. the red goes to the power coming off the contacts of the relay (yes, you want to use a relay) and the black goes to the chassis for a ground. the switch inside your cabin connects to the positive coil of the relay and the other side of the coil is grounded. for power into the switch, you can either go to the battery, or a constant hot fuse in the fuse box. or you can tap into the parking lights power. i did the latter so the warning tone would alert me if i'd left the lights on (i killed my battery several times in my old car from leaving my fogs on during the day.) the power going into the contacts of the relay come from the fused power coming right off the battery.
i don't know. you'd have to ask the seller if they have a cutoff shield. i'd play it safe and get the ones i specified if you want the same output. i seriously doubt anything running H3's would give as good of results though due to the big differences in focal points of the HID and stock H3 bulbs. you may get good results with H3C HID bulbs, but why risk it when this setup is proven? that's why i went with it after seeing all the positive results on HID Planet.
oh thats all the questions, but the reason i wanna retrofit them is becuase i love my oem housing, it fits!! i have a 01 civic. But yeah i want that look that gearbox has with his fogs, they look oem but they are projectors

HIDs are the best in foggy weather, no doubt. Even my 6k kit in my low beams is better than my fog lamps with nokya yellows... when it is foggy I dont even need to turn on my fog lamps, I just cut right through with my lows!
