HID glare: eyebrows/vinyl same as lowering headlights?
Hi guys,
I just installed some low-beam only HIDs (long story, I have other threads on here describing my bi-xenons and problems I have), and yes, I have glare. It already has a glare shield on it already.
For whatever reason, I prefer to add vinyl to the outside of the H4 headlights of my 2001 Acura EL (similar to 2001 Civic sedan) instead of adjusting them through the notch thing in the back of the headlights.....
Based on some really ad-hoc tests of using 2 hands to cover the top 1/3 of a headlight, I found it to reduce at least the glare going up to signs 8 ft above the ground.... Would this be a good idea? Instead of adjusting the lights lower?
Should vinyl eyebrows be used as a glare minimization technique? (There are no fabricated eyebrows that fit my headlamps, so I'd have to use silver vinyl.)
