Rep Power: 343 Should be fairly easy - remove the inner door panels, get at the outer door handle and I think it's only a couple of bolts and the clip that holds the rod (for actually pulling the latch). Then just drill a small hole for the LED, make it slightly larger than 5mm, so you can get a grommet in (tip: buy a grommet and measure it first). It'll keep the hole a tight fiot. Then just wire the LED to a switch and run it (use a resistor!) to switched 12v and a ground, or maybe even get vreative and use a relay so it activates when a desired component gets powered on. If you can, running the wire through the rubber hose dealie that covers the speaker and power lock wires will keep it clean and seamless. I was thinking of running one of my extra LED's to my alarm so when the alarm is disarmed, the LED comes on and stays on, illuminating the door handle till the car is started. Too much work, I'm too tired. Maybe next season.

Rep Power: 0 If you buy good LEDs you wont have to worry about that stuff. LEDs are in a plastic capsule to begin with, as long as you silicone around the bare wire and connections you will be fine, Ive done many LED projects on the outside of cars and as long as they are sealed properly you will not have any problems.

On the ignition key cylinder 1 of 2 plugs, Pin 5 = Wht/Blu / Pin 6 = Wht/Blk. This is the source for the lighted key cylinder lamp or LED used on the EX models. Strictly a low current source that mirrors the actions of the dome lamp (except when set to on or off)

Quick question: How would you actually run the wires from the door through the hinge to the wires in front? Especially in the case of the back doors?

Rep Power: 787 haha if you're like me its rice style with the wires just hanging outside (I put loom at least). But the proper way is through the stock rubber boot. But good luck getting it through there, especially if your door is sealed with dynamat.

Rep Power: 787 just do what i did? it doesn't look too bad with a bit hanging out. I just ran the wire under the door panel (didn't even have to remove the whole thing) and sticking out to go through the boot.
