HID + Halo Projectors

There are tons of Retrofitting the HID kits into the TYC projectors. I personally like the halo projectors better, but is it harder to retrofit HID's into these projector headlights?

P.S. I'm a noob when it comes to custom fit stuff, but why is retrofitting so hard? And why doesn't H1 bulbs fit into the projector headlights?

I believe halo projectors use different bulb #s... Check out the headlight lense (It should mention the bulb size). Retrofit = Retrofit, It can be done.

Well, u have to find the actual projector that will fit inside the halo's. I've taken my halo's apart and removed the actual "projector", and could replace it with another one. However, it'd have to be the same size, and thats where the hard part comes in to play, cuz u dont know which projectors will fit in there. What do u mean "why doesnt H1 bulbs fit into the projector headlights? Are you asking why dont HID bulbs fit in stock halo projectors, or why do retrofitted projectors dont fit regular H1 halogen bulbs?

the file pissed me off because it took way too long to file out as much as you need to in order for the bulb to clear, so i used a drill..

yup, and you can see why you should NOT put HID's into projectors that were not made for HID.

The beam pattern is horrible and has discoloration in the pattern too.
That one on the wall is soooooooo bad.

I dont see why its so bad. I bet u it lights up the road better than halogen in OEM housing, or halogens inside a projector. Yes, its not as good as a retrofit, but not everyone has $500-$800 to spend on just lighting. For 280$ i think its worth it. Pics are nice, and u can see the improvement. Its not like this was for nothing. Nice pics riceboy.
