Clearing headlights illegal?

I just would like to know if it's illegal to clear out your head lights. Only b/c i know change the color of your turn signals, adding led washers, and led license plates can attract cops, but i want to know the truth.

"Incorrect color of turn signal. It must be white or yellow to the front, red or yellow to the rear (24953 VC). "

you got busted for clear turn signals ?

check out this site if you live in cali, very knowledgable, maybe they have more sites like these for other states ?

The '04s are pretty much cleared stock. . They have an orange bulb in them though.

Its not only the bulb you have to worry about. In some states a clear turn signal in front is fine, in some states it isn't. However, the other problem is the reflector in front. I'm not sure if all states require, but I know in some the reflector in front must be orange.

I know that all vehicles in Ontario must have an orange side reflector in the front and a red side reflector in the rear. Therefore, removing the orange insert from the headlights would violate the law here.

So does anyone know if removing the orange side reflector on the headlights is illegal in Texas?

While clearing your headlights, drop in a turbo kit so you have a better chance of outrunning the cops. That should do the trick.

I dont see why it would be an issue. Many cars nowadays come with clear headlights and colored turn signals.

Think of the last 6th gen civics, they had all clear front lamps with an amber bulb and a very small amber reflector.

I dont care what cops say, amber is fugin ugly. I have never been pulled over in CT for anything with lights, I had a bluish tint (arctic white) naxos xenon blue headlamp, APC Super Street Series (best I have used) Super White parks/turns, and Varad White LEDs for all four of my sidemarkers, along with white Pilot fogs.

I figure unless you have like red, green, purple, or deep blue from the front of the car, it wont be an issue.
