Why arent my halo's working?!?!

I got them this weekend and installed them Friday. They are from RSversion.com and they were hot. The bulbs I bought were sick looking and the halos are a LED white. good color. Well I had them directly wired to the parking lamp bulb and they worked fine for two days. I am almost home last night from VA and stop for gas, I go to the front the check them out and here is what I see.

One halo has only one LED lit up very fainltly, the second one is completely out. The other halo has one lit up brightly and the other is flickering faintly.

Was my wiring job not good? I used crimpes and electrical tape and got a nice tight connection.

WTF is wrong with them, Im about to call the company and flip cause my gf just paid $200 for these things! And their 3 days old!

they are known to break really easily... Make your own halo's there is a DIY on it. Then you can chose what color u want it to be, and will be A LOT brighter

you cant really raise hell with RSVERSION..

if you were to search up the site and see that many people have problems with these particular projectors, then you would have never had this problem.

yes i understand they were a nice gift from the g/f, but this has nothing to do with why the halo rings arent working..

many ppl on this site would have told you to DIY paint OEM or get some TYC Projectors.. yes a little bit more pricey, but well worth the money..

so you call up RSVERSION and they will help you at no extent.
good luck with your problem though..

yup. LED are supposed to be strong and durable, but the ones that were used with these halo projectors aren't really good. I didn't hook mine up either, but I bet the bulbs are burnt out anyways (I bought them used from a member here)

I only chose the halo projectors because they look neat and orderly. I don't really care for the halo itself. It sort of adds a nice border

True, true. I feel the same way with mine, but I still wish they worked.

I found a DIY on this site that some kid did to his CRX, looked pretty easy and sweet when he was done. He used that clear plastic pole that is for blinds. heated it up to bend it.

What was your deal, let me know how you did yours I would be very interested to know.

its more than likely not the led thats bad, it probably the resistors in there that went bad on the one that lights up barely changed resistance, and the one thats blown the resistor broke im willing to bet... thats what went wrong with mine i changed the resistor and they work fine ... they use cheap POS resistors in there and just cause someones had issues doesnt mean a company shouldnt take care of someone espically within the first 30 days
